The EURES mobility portal
The EURES portal is the main communication channel used to reach all targets, in particular jobseekers and employers.
The site operates over one million job offers from all over Europe, as well as precious information on the current situation in the European Job Market.
Through My Eures
(How to apply for a job in Europe), the personal account area of the portal, employers and jobseekers can personalize the service. Registering on the portal and opening a “My Eures account”, allows users to create and memorize research profiles, receive CVs that respond to specific profiles or notifications of job vacancies via e-mail or text message, as well as other work-related information. At present 1,105,365 candidates and 30,561 organizations are registered on the portal.
- Jobseekers can create their own profile and upload their CV on-line (the service is available in all the languages of the EU and offers the possibility of publishing a CV and making it available to EURES advisers and registered employers). Moreover candidates receive an email every time a job vacancy comes up that is in line with their profile
- Employers can search for candidates in the database of CVs, create and memorize search profiles and receive notifications via e-mail
On the portal it is also possible to find information on the living and working conditions
in the country of destination, register to receive the monthly newsletter
, check on the dates and locations of the European Job Days
and other EURES events. It is also possible to contact other jobseekers and exchange advice and opinions.
The purpose of the portal is to provide information and services that foster the encounter of jobseekers and employers, in a European context and in line with the principle of the free movement of workers, one of the cornerstones of the EU.
